OKLAHOMA CITY (KOKH) — Last Friday, police say cameras caught a man randomly choosing victims to harm in the Plaza District, which ultimately led to his arrest. According to OKCPD, two victims were walking on the sidewalk when the suspect came up from behind them and knocked them down on the ground. Police said it was a completely unprovoked attack. The suspect then turned around and kicked one of the victims in the face while lying down on the ground before the suspect ran off. Investigators were able to find the suspect, who has been identified as 33-year-old Adam Hartico. Police said he is currently in jail on several other complaints. Hartico will now also face charges of assault and battery and aggravated assault and battery.

Bristol, Connecticut — On Thursday, October 5, 2023 at approximately 11:30 p.m., a lone female, later identified as 51-year-old Suzanne Laprise, entered the lobby of the Bristol Police Department at 131 North Main Street. She approached the front lobby desk office windows and banged on the windows with a handgun. The front lobby desk was unoccupied at that time. After banging on the windows, Laprise fired multiple rounds into the windows. The rounds did not penetrate the bullet-resistant glass.

Officers attempted to open a dialogue with Laprise. During these efforts, Laprise discharged additional rounds in the direction of the officers. Officer Spencer Boisvert then returned fire, firing two shots. The bullet-resistant glass stopped all rounds and no one was hit. When Laprise set the handgun down, officers entered the lobby, deployed an electronic defense weapon, and took her into custody. Laprise was taken to Bristol Hospital for evaluation. She was later released and returned to the Bristol Police Department.
