CCTV footage from a St. Petersburg subway station shows passenger Yevgeny Borodin shoving a female employee onto the tracks. He is immediately punched in the face. The woman was rescued and he now faces jail time. Faith in humanity has been restored.
The Daily Mail reports that the pusher has been charged with attempted murder and grievous bodily harm. The woman had barely missed being run over by an incoming train, which arrived just after the video cuts out.
Having recently seen a rescue like this myself, I can only say that this woman is extremely lucky to be alive. Had the train come any sooner, this would be a much more tragic story.
